Hey guys! There is a card-game I thought up and made in 2 days, and there are million's of cards! Don't worry, I didn't have to make them... that part is up to YOU! Prime is a game where you can re-enact any battle that has, will, or you wish would happen: YOU generate the cards! YOU choose the image! YOU make the stats. It's all there, all we need is for YOU to fight... in the first, the last, the all encompassing battle: PRIME!
How to:
IMAGES:
First thing you will probably want to know is how to get your image in there. But before that, here are some tips. Prime is still young, and the programming not final; it has problems scaling larger images. The resolution for an image is 200x150, but you can go much larger, don't worry about it (just try any image... if it doesn't work, just shrink it a bit). Large file sizes also freeze up the Prime Card Generator. If an image doesn't show up, refresh the page and try again.
Just go to the url box at the bottom of the page and paste in a url for an online image, or a local url, to any image (PNG 24's are awesome, it recognizes the alpha channel. It will only display the first frame of animated gifs). If you link to a non-image filetype, you will probably freeze up the Card Generator: just refresh the page. I have some images you can feel free to use. The default image is a penguins face, just click the green 'Cycle' button to the right of the url box to either bring up the default image url and color (color explained later), or cycle through images of each of the Frosty Village Crew's images and colors. Have some fun!
COLOR:
At the top of the window are three text fields; these are RGB values (colored and ordered respectively). Just type in values and look at what comes up on the color preview boxes, if you like the color you have been choses, just hit the 'Apply Color' button. Also, if you click the color preview boxes (either one) it will generate a random color, if your stumped, try that out. If you get too dark (ala black or blackish) white outlines will show up around the icons. Looks great for those ninja cards I know I'll be seeing.
STATS:
There are five stats. The upper left stat is Attack, the upper right is Defense, the bottom left is Damage, and the bottom right is Health. The basic idea of the game (more detailed in the rules section) is you attack (by rolling a four sided die and adding your attack modifier to it). If your attack is higher than the opponents defense, you hit. Then roll the die again and add your damage modifier: subtract the sum from the opponents health (use tokens to show how much health the opponent has left). From there you can decide what your stats will be. Modifiers can go into negatives, this can be helpful for what is about to be explained. Your cards are given levels according to the amount of points used (points being the numbers given to your stats). Your level is displayed on the upper right of the card. Your level is represented by the silver star outlines (otherwise known as 'stars') on the upper right of the card. Than what are those yellow stars? Those are points. When counting points, each silver outline represents three points, and each yellow 'mini star' counts for one. When battling, make sure both of your decks are equal in points. Also, the higher your level the more bulky and difficult it is to summon. I recommend sticking to 1 or 2 level cards. If the stars have white fillings, they are NON REGULATION. All NON REGULATION cards have to be agreed upon before being used in a battle (no cheating).
To ad and subtract from your stats, just use the '+' and '-' buttons to the left or right of the icon.
The star in the middle of the four icons is your lucky number (it is between one and four). Just click it to change it. Its use will be explained later.
RULES OF PLAY:
• Winning:
Empty the opponents deck.
• Draw Phase
Draw up to 2 cards.
• Play Phase
play up to 3 stars of cards
(If a card is below 1 star, it counts as .5 stars.)
(Play field may have up to 5 cards in play.)
• Attack Phase
Attack with up to 3 stars of cards.
You may split up the attack anyway you want (attack different enemies with different cards).
When rolling to see if the attack is higher than your defense, if you roll your lucky number, add the amount of stars on your opponents card to your attack.
• Damage calculation
Roll the die and add your damage modifier, the sum is the damage dealt. Subtract the damage from your opponents cards health. Place tokens for how many hp the damaged card has left.
When rolling for damage. If you roll your lucky number during your damage roll, add the amount of stars your opponents card has to your card's damage.
• Return Phase
Return any amount of cards to your hand.
For each card returned, you must:
Damage the card of your choice (on your side of the field) for how many points the returned card is made up of.
A 6pt card is 6dm when returned. The card receiving damage does not need to have more health than the points of damage being dealt to it, if said card's hp drops below 1 it is discarded.
Each card returned needs its own effected card that is receiving damage. Returned cards heal completely (take off all tokens). If you are returning more than one card, you cannot deal damage to the other card(s) you are returning.
Deck Size = Doesn't matter, just make sure the point size is the same.
If the stars are white, that means it is a NON REGULATION card, all NON REGULATION cards must be agreed on by both players. A NON REGULATION card acts as a 3 star card for summons and a 12 point card for returning.
